Every name that is part of this collection is a baby who left far too soon and a family who understands a loss no one should ever have to experience. Our babies have brought us all together, and while I wish the reason was different, I'm grateful to have you here.

What is Wave of Light?
It's a worldwide remembrance event held every year on Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day, October 15.
At 7:00 PM local time, families light a candle in memory of their babies, creating a continuous 'wave of light' that circles the globe.
Anyone can participate, including grieving parents, family members, friends, and community supporters.
Many people light a candle at home, or attend in-person or virtual events hosted by organizations, hospitals and support groups.
About Our Wave of Light Collection
The Wave of Light Collection is our annual remembrance collection honoring the lives of babies who left far too soon.
Each year, we invite families who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or another form of pregnancy or infant loss to share their babies' names with us. We thoughtfully arrange every baby's name on our candle labels, where they are seen, spoken, and remembered as families take part in Wave of Light on October 15.
The collection gives families an opportunity to remember their babies alongside thousands of others around the world.
Giving Back
Supporting families who have experienced the loss of a baby has always been at the heart of Sage & Sara.
Together, we've donated more than $15,000 to organizations providing bereavement care, resources and support to those navigating pregnancy or infant loss.
This year, we're honored to partner with the Adalyn Rose Foundation.
A portion of proceeds from this year's Wave of Light Collection will help fund a Remembrance Cart for a hospital near Reading, Pennsylvania. These carts provide thoughtfully selected keepsakes, books, and other resources that help families create memories with their baby during the limited time they have together.
The Remembrance Cart will also include a dedication sticker created in honor of every baby remembered in this year's Wave of Light Collection. The design features a heart made up of more than 3,800 stars—one for each of your babies.

Answers to your most common questions about our 2026 Wave of Light Collection
THE NAMES
Are all the names submitted this year included on one candle?
No. Because of the high number of names we receive each year, we divide them across multiple candles. We know how important it is for your baby's name to be seen and read clearly, and this helps keep every name legible on our labels.
This year, we are honoring 3,851 babies and have organized their names into 17 alphabetical groups. Each group appears on its own candle.
Which candle is my baby's name on?
We organized all names alphabetically based on the first name entered on your submission form, then divided them into 17 name groups.
Each candle includes the names within a specific letter or range of letters.
For example:
"Baby Gumdrop" can be found on Candle 3 - Names Babies & Baby because it begins with 'Baby.'
"Mila & Dolly" can be found in Candle 12 - Names M because the first name begins with the letter M.

I submitted multiple names. Are they on the same candle?
If you submitted multiple names on the same submission form, they will be kept together on the same candle. Names are organized alphabetically based on the first name entered on your submission form.
For example:
'Leo, Ava, and Maya' were submitted together on one form, and can be found on Candle 10 – Names K–Le because Leo is the first name entered and belongs in that alphabetical name group.
If you submitted your babies' names on separate submission forms, they are organized independently based on the first name entered on each form.
Can my baby's name be moved to a different candle?
No. Since the name lists have been finalized and arranged on our candles, we're unable to regroup or move names. Each name has been carefully positioned as part of the overall label design, and any changes would affect both the layout and the organization of the collection.
What if I can't find my baby's name on the candles?
First, double-check that you're looking at the correct candle based on your baby's alphabetical name group. Each candle listing includes the complete list of names printed on that candle. Some names may appear one row above or below their expected alphabetical position to accommodate the layout of the label.
If you're still unable to find your baby's name, please email us as soon as possible and we'll be happy to help.
Can I still add my baby's name?
We are no longer able to add additional names to our 2026 Wave of Light Collection. Name submissions have now closed, and all names have been carefully arranged on our candle labels.
If your baby's name wasn't included this year, you're still welcome to take part in Wave of Light by lighting a candle you already have at home or by preordering our personalized 'Remembering You Always' candle.
We hope to continue creating this collection for many years to come, and it would be an honor to include your baby's name when submissions reopen for our 2027 Wave of Light Collection.
PREORDERS
Why is this collection only available as a preorder?
Preorders allow us to make exactly what you order. We produce each candle based on your fragrance selections and print the labels needed for each order. This means we don't make too many or too few.
With the high volume of preorders we receive each year, production typically takes 4–6 weeks. Preorders also give us the time to make and ship your orders in time for Wave of Light on October 15.
When do pre-orders open?
Our preorder window opens Wednesday, July 29 at 9:00 AM PT and closes Tuesday, August 4 at 9:00 PM PT.
Will the candles sell out?
No. We create every candle ordered during our preorder window.
Keep in mind this is the only ordering opportunity available. Once preorders close, we do not produce additional inventory or stock extras.
How do I preorder the candle with my baby's name?
Names have been organized alphabetically into groups across multiple candles.
To pre-order, select the candle that corresponds to your baby's group of names, choose your fragrance preference, and add it to your cart. If you're ordering from multiple name groups, simply add each one separately.
For example, if your baby's name is Ayla, you'll order Candle 2 (Names An - Az).

I missed name submissions. Can I still order a candle?
Yes. While we're no longer able to add names to this year's collection, you're still welcome to preorder a candle. You can choose one of our name-list candles or our 'Remembering You Always' candle, which can be personalized with just your baby's name.
Can I order a candle with only my baby's name on it?
Yes. We also offer a personalized candle as part of our Wave of Light Collection. It features the hand-lettered words "Remembering You Always" on the label.
To pre-order, simply select that listing and enter your baby's name in the personalization box before checking out.
Names submitted through our name submission form at the end of June are not automatically transferred to personalized candle orders.
Can I preorder both the name-list candle and a personalized candle?
Yes. You're welcome to order either one or both. Simply add each candle to your cart separately.
Is there a limit to how many candles I can preorder?
No. We will make every candle ordered during our preorder window.
Can I make changes to my preorder?
Before you checkout, we highly encourage you to take a moment to review your order carefully, including the candle(s) you've selected, your fragrance preference, the spelling of any personalized name(s), your email address, and your shipping address.
If you need to make a change after placing your order, please contact us via email as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your request before production begins. Once production is underway, however, we cannot accept any changes.
Can I add more candles to the preorder I just placed?
No. Due to the high volume of preorders we receive, we're unable to add candles to existing orders. If you'd like additional candles, simply place a new order while our preorder window is still open.
We recommend planning your order ahead of time, including checking with family or friends who may want to order together.
Can I combine multiple orders?
No. Due to the high volume of preorders we receive, we do not combine multiple orders. Each order is processed and shipped separately.
Can I cancel my pre-order?
Preorders may be canceled any time while our preorder window is still open. If you need to cancel your order, please reach out via email as soon as possible.
Once preorders close and production begins, we're no longer able to accept cancellations.
SHIPPING
When will my order ship?
We expect to begin shipping in mid-September. We pack and ship orders daily, with the goal of having every order arrive by October 15 for Wave of Light.
Keep in mind that delivery times can vary. If your order arrives earlier or later than someone else's, that's completely normal and doesn't indicate any issues with your order.
Why does shipping take several weeks?
Every Wave of Light candle is made to order. Once preorders close, production begins. Due to the high volume of orders we receive, it typically takes 4–6 weeks before we're ready to begin shipping.
If my shipping address changes before my order ships, can I update it?
Yes. If your shipping address changes before your order ships, send us an email as soon as possible with your updated address. If your order has not yet been packed or had a shipping label created, we'll update it on our end.
Once your order has been packed or a shipping label has been created, we're no longer able to make address changes.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We offer international shipping. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your destination. To allow extra transit time before Wave of Light on October 15, we prioritize international orders whenever possible.
Please note that international orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other fees charged by your country's customs agency. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in your order total or shipping cost.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer flat-rate standard shipping within the U.S., and rates vary based on your location. Orders of $75 USD or more qualify for free standard shipping within the U.S. Your shipping cost will be shown at checkout before you complete your order.
International shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout based on your destination and order weight. These rates are determined by the shipping carrier and are not set by us.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
You will receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order ships. Your tracking number will be included in the email so you can follow your package. If you don't see the email, be sure to check your spam or promotions folder.
Wave of Light orders begin shipping in September and continue through early October. Every order is shipped in time to arrive before October 15.
Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to begin updating after you receive your shipping confirmation email.
PRODUCT & PRICING
What are your candles made from?
Our candles are hand-poured using 100% natural soy wax, lead-free cotton wicks, and premium phthalate-free fragrance oils.
What size are the candles?
Our Wave of Light candles are 14 oz and are poured into a glass jar. They are double wicked using lead-free cotton wicks.
What fragrance options are available?
Our Wave of Light Collection is available in four fragrance options:
- Sage & Lavender – Our signature fragrance with calming lavender, sage, and warm wood notes.
- Autumn Orchard – A cozy blend of crisp apples, warm spices, and cedar, perfect for fall.
- White Tea – Fresh, uplifting notes of white tea, bergamot, and jasmine.
- Fragrance-Free – Ideal for those who prefer an unscented candle or have fragrance sensitivities.
Can I order an unscented candle?
Yes. Every candle in our Wave of Light Collection is also available fragrance-free.
Simply select Fragrance-Free from the fragrance options before adding your candle to your cart.
How much does each candle cost?
Each Wave of Light candle is $35 USD, regardless of the design you choose. Shipping and any applicable taxes are calculated separately at checkout.
Do you offer payment plans?
We do not offer payment plans for our Wave of Light Collection. Payment is due in full at the time your preorder is placed.
Do you offer discount or coupon codes?
No. Due to the special nature of our Wave of Light Collection, discounts and coupon codes cannot be applied to these products.

What if there's a problem with the order I received?
While we take great care to ensure every order is packed accurately and arrives safely, we understand that mistakes or shipping damage can occasionally happen.
If there's a problem with your order, please email us as soon as possible with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable. We'll review everything and do our best to make it right.
